The Morning Star, Wilmington, NC - Th 12/30/1886
A Clinton correspondent wites us:  "Professor 
Gaston M. Hobbs died at the residence of his 
brother, Mr. Abram Hobbs, in Linton, on 
Sunday, 26th inst., of cancer of the stomach, 
in the 30th year of his age.  Prof. Hobbs as 
well known in your city as a musician.  He 
was a gentleman of fine musical attainments.  
He was a man of a high standard of honor."
