In testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my hand and seal this 2nd day of March, A.D. 1812. Test. Anne King Henry King (seal) Thos. D. King State of North Carolina Cumberland County June Term 1813 Then was the execution of this deed proved by Thomas D. King and ordered to be recorded from the minutes. Robinson Mumford C.C. Notes; Henery (Henry) King and Nathan King of Cumberland County, NC were brothers and sons of Michael King of Cumberland County, NC (born abt. 1722 in Bertie Precinct, Province of NC) who was the testator of the will mentioned above and dated 27 November 1783. Michael King died in Cumberland County about January of 1785. The Joseph King referenced in the above deed was also a son of Michael King of Cumberland County and he was an heir in Michael King's last will and testament. Joseph King relocated to the State of Georgia in the very early 1800's. Nathan King (1750-1833) was born in Duplin County, Province of NC on 7 November 1750 and his mother was Mary Catherine (Snell) King (abt. 1727-abt. 1765). Mary (Boone) King (abt. 1750-?), whom Michael King married after the death of Mary (Snell) King about 1765, was the mother of Henery (Henry) King (abt. 1770-1821)) and Joseph King (abt. 1772-abt.1820)), both of whom were born in Cumberland County, NC. Thos. D. King (1779-1854), a witness to this deed, was the son of William King, Senior of Sampson County, NC who was another of the sons of Michael King by his first wife, Mary Catherine Snell. William King, Senior is thought to have been born in Bertie County, Province of NC about 1748 and he died in Sampson County in 1816. The other witness to this deed, Anne King, was probably Barbara Ann (Moore) King (1775- 1828) who was born in Sampson County, NC and was the daughter of Colonel James Moore and his wife, Ann (Thomson) Moore (RMK).
