D. 1812 Nathan King to Nathan King and Henery King Nathan King to Nathan King & Henery King - State of North Carolina, Sampson County. Know all men by these presents that I Nathan King of the County & State aforesaid for & in consideration of the love, goodwill & esteem I bear my beloved uncles, Nathan King & Henery King of the County of Cumberland & State above as well as in consideration of a certain instrument of conveyance bearing date March 2nd, 1812 from William King, Senr. of Sampson, Nathan King & Henery King of Cumberland of all right, title or claim which they, respectively, have to four hundred acres of land bequeathed by Michael King, Dec'd of Cumberland County to Michael King, Senr., dec'd of Sampson County, unto me the said Nathan King, Edmond King & Bryant King all of the County of Sampson, do give, grant and forever assign unto the said Nathan King his heirs or assigns forever in fee simple from me, my heirs or assigns all such right, title or claim in expectancy as I have or which may hereafter to me or my heirs accrue in virtue of the last will and testament of Michael King, Dec'd of Cumberland County & same State bearing date November 27th, 1783; two certain tracts or parcels of land (viz) one parcel of two hundred acres on Raifords Creek bequeathed to said Nathan King of Cumberland & one other parcel of land of one hundred & twenty acres in said last will & testament bequeathed to Joseph King. Likewise, unto the above named Henery King his heirs or assigns forever all such right, title or claim in expectancy as I have or which may hereafter to me or my heirs accrue in virtue of the same last will & testament to certain tracts or parcels of lands (viz) one of two hundred acres purchased of Duncan McNeill by said Michael King of Cumberland & by him bequeathed in his said last will & testament to the above named Henery King and one other parcel of land containing one hundred and twenty acres bequeathed to Charles King by said testator. In testimony whereon I hereunto subscribe my hand & seal this 3rd day of March A. D. 1812. Nathan King (seal) Test. Tho. D. King State of North Carolina Anne King Cumberland County June Term 1813 Acknowledged & ordered to be recorded Test. Robinson Mumford, C. Note; the Nathan King (abt. 1788-1828) of Sampson County, NC was the eldest living son of Michael King, Senr. (abt. 1745-1811), dec'd of Sampson County NC who was the son of Michael King of Cumberland County, dec'd said testator of the will dated 27 November 1783. The Edmond King (abt. 1795-abt. 1863) and Bryant King (abt. 1794-1835), of Sampson County, mentioned in the above deed were brothers of the said Nathan King of Sampson County, NC and all three of these were sons of Michael King, Senr., deceased, of Sampson County. Both Nathan King (1750-1833) & Henery (Henry) King (abt. 1770-1821) of Cumberland County were sons of the Michael King, dec'd of Cumberland County, noted as the testator of the will dated 27 November 1783 and were brothers of the Michael King, Senr. ,then deceased of Sampson County, NC. The Joseph King (abt. 1772-abt. 1820) and Charles King (abt. 1774-1811) mentioned in the above deed were also brothers to Nathan King (of Cumberland), Henery King (of Cumberland), William King, Senr. (of Sampson), and Michael King, Senr. (abt. 1745-1811), then deceased of Sampson County, NC . Tho. D. King (1779-1854), one of the witnesses, was the son of William King, Senr. (abt. 1748-1816) of Sampson County, NC and the elder brother of William Rufus DeVane King (1786-1853), V. P. elect in 1852 and Anne King, the other witness, was probably Barbara Ann (Moore) King (1775-1828), wife of Henery (Henry) King of Cumberland County, NC. Barbara Ann Moore King was the daughter of Colonel James Moore and Ann (Thomson) Moore of Sampson County, NC. Both Joseph King and Charles King removed to the State of Georgia in the very early 1800's (RMK).
