D. 1812 William King to Nathan King - State of North Carolina, Sampson County. Know all men by these presents that I William King, Senr. of the County & State above for & consideration of the love, goodwill & esteem I bear my beloved brother, Nathan King, of the County of Cumberland & State aforesaid, do give, grant & forever assign unto the said Nathan King his heirs or assigns forever in fee simple from me, my heirs or assigns all such right, title or claim in expectancy as I have or which may hereafter to me or my heirs accrue in virtue of the last will and testament of Michael King of Cumberland County bearing the date November 27th, 1783 two certain tracts or parcels of land (viz) two hundred acres of land on Raifords Creek bequeathed to said Nathan King & one other parcel of land of one hundred & twenty acres in said last will and testament bequeathed to Joseph King. In testimony, whereof, I hereunto subscribe my hand and seal this 2nd day of March A.D. 1812. Test. Anne King William King, Senr. (seal) Thos. D. King State of North Carolina June Term 1813 Cumberland County Then was the execution of this deed proved by Thos. D. and ordered to be recorded from the minutes Robinson Mumford, C. C. # Note; The Nathan King (1750-1833) of Cumberland County, NC and the William King, Senr. (abt. 1748-1816) of Sampson County (NC), parties of the above deed, were brothers and sons of Michael King of Cumberland County, NC (abt. 1722-abt. 1785) who was the testator in the will mentioned above and dated 27 November 1783. The Joseph King (abt. 1772-abt. 1820) mentioned above was a younger son of Michael King of Cumberland County, NC said testator of the will dated 27 November 1783. Joseph King removed to Georgia in the very early 1800's. The witnesses to the above deed were Thomas D. King (1779-1854), son of William King, Senr. of Sampson County, NC, and Anne King who was probably Barbara Ann (Moore) King (1775-1828), wife of Henery (Henry) King (abt. 1770-1821) of Cumberland County, NC and brother to the Nathan King, William King, Senr. and Joseph King, mentioned above (RMK).
