M. E. King (Michael Everett); Born June 14, 1832; Died Sept. 6, 1907; No more 
he’ll meet us here below, His toils and sacrifices are ore, Just by the rivers 
gentle flow, He stands upon the golden shore. (Michael Everett King served in 
the Confederate Army during the Civil War; he was the son of Alworth King and 
was married to Rhoda Ann King, daughter of James and Mary A. King.)
