Nineteenth Century Vital Statistics
Fayetteville Observer, Wednesday December 27, 1843:

Married in Sampson County on the 10th instant at the residence of Elder James 
R Lewis by Elder John L Clifton, Mr Robert Bird age 75 years to Miss Nancy 
Lewis, daughter of Kedar Lewis age 45 years.

There is a death notice of Elder James R Lewis in the 70th year of his age on 
December 2, 1862. Perhaps he and Nancy were siblings?
