Some of the native stones were missing but I felt strongly that the pioneer Coble plot should be preserved. I had Mr. Wolf of Oaksboro to cover the plot with 4 inches of cement and then cover with rocks and an 8 inch coping around it. Head stones were erected to all known graves and a larger stone was placed on the plot with the names, dates of birth, death, etc. of David, pioneer; wife Martha; son Jacob and daughter, Elizabeth.
