He is listed in NC Colonial records as a regulator and petitons for tax relief with others from Anson County. In 1766, he was living on land grant on Clarks Street which is near what is now Swift Island Bridge, across the Pee Dee River. After the Battle of Alamance, he took up residece on Rocky River not far from Bryant Austin. No further service for him as a Rev War soldier has been found. Goin Morgan's Bible is today a prized possession of a sixth generation. He and his wife Mary Thompson Morgan are buried on his homestead, but the graves are not known."
