Coming up 24/27 from Charlotte (Albemarle Road), turn right at 601. Follow 601 a mile or 3 or 4, cross a railroad bridge. Immediately after the bridge, take the first left. this road cuts back opposite and banks quickly to the right. It eventually becomes River Road. You will pass over a river, the Rocky River, I think. then you will pass the church on your right. 7/10 of one mile on the left nearing the top of a hill, in the trees is a small cemetery. The woods are on a rise beside the road. If you get to the fenced in cow pasture, you went too far. The cemetery borders right on the pasture. My husband and daughter spotted it on our fourth pass--I never saw it. Go in the fall or winter??? 18 unmarked field stones, some definitely look like footstones matched with headstones, no writing. some of the markers are concrete. One is polished granite. Many are handcarved field stones.
