       vs.
J. F. CRUMP et al

Petition for Settlement

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that GEORGE CRUMP, 
WARHAM EASLEY, and his wife, SALLY, John Smith and Mary, his wife are not 
residents of this State. It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication 
for six successive weeks be made in the North Carolina Argus, a newspaper 
published at Wadesboro, notifying said non-resident defendants to be and appear 
at our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions, to be held for the County of 
Stanly at the Court House in Albermarle on the second Monday in February next. 
Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed. Otherwise 
judgment will be taken pro confesso and the matter heard ex parte as to them. 
Witness R. HARRIS, Clerk of said Court on the second Monday of November, 
A.D., 1858.
