D.K. THOMPSON, Adm'r.  of MARY THOMPSON
          vs.
EDMUND THOMPSON et al

Petition for Settlement

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that EDMUND 
THOMPSON and PATSEY PRICHETT are not residents of this State. It is therefore 
ordered by the Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the 
North Carolina Argus, a newspaper published at Wadesboro, notifying the said 
non-residents, defendants, to be and appear at our next Court of Pleas & 
Quarter Sessions to be held for the County of Stanly in the Court House at 
Albemarle on the second Monday in February next. Then and there to plead, 
answer or demur to this petition filed. Otherwide judgment will be taken pro 
confesso and the matter heard ex parte as to them. Witness, RICHARD HARRIS, 
Clerk of said Court on the second Monday in November A. D. 1858.
