JOHNSON of Albemarle, Stanly County, North Carolina. Transcribed on October 23, 1999 from a photocopy of the original by Carson Turner (CoachTurner@Softhome.net) "State of North Carolina County of Stanly On this 18th day of July AD 1924 personally appeared before me J.A. Little CSC in and for the State and County afforesaid, T. J. Johnson age 81 years and a resident at Albemarle NC Rt 2 postoffice in said county and State, and, who being duly sworn, makes the following declaration in order to obtain the pension under provisions of an act entitled "An act to amend and consolidate the laws of the State of North Carolina," ratified March 8, 1921. That he is the identical T. J. Johnson who enlisted in Company A, 57 Regiment, NC State Troops, on or about 4th day of July 1862 to serve the armies of the late Confederate States......." There are no further notes about his service on the document. It is witnessed and signed by J.A. Little, J. Ed. Hartsell, T. J. Johnson,
