                           OTIS BILES

  Funeral services for OTIS BAIN BILES, 76, of 185 Pee dee Avenue, Norwood, a 
self-employed contractor, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in First United 
Methodist Church in Norwood, where he was a member. Rev. I Pressley rutledge 
will officiate and interment will be in Norview Gardens.
  Mr. BILES died at 2:30 a.m. wednesday in Mercy Hospital in Charlotte. A 
native of Stanly county, he was the son of the late COLUMBUS H. and NANCY PAGE 
BILES and was born June 26. 1906.
  Surviving are wife MRS. GERTRUDE PATE BILES; four daughters, MRS. NANCY 
CAROL EURY, MRS. MILDRED LUCILLE COONE, MRS. ROSA LEE COONE AND MRS. MARIE 
FRALEY, all of Norwood; a brother, WILLIE L. (BILL) BILES of Kannapolis; two 
sisters, MRS. LILLIE LOWDER OF Marion, and MRS. MARY CAGLE of Columbia, South 
Carolina; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
  Pallbearers will be RONNIE FRALEY, ALLEN FRALEY, TONY COONE, TERRIL COONE, 
HENRY COONE, and WILLIAM TARLTON, all grandsons.
  The family was scheduled to receive friends from 7 to 9 Thrusday evening at 
Lefler Funeral home in Norwood.
