Daniel Cody Obit

(date of death was Oct. 19, 1928; not sure when article was printed or in what 
paper.)

Death of Well Known Misenheimer Man Friday Night

D.H. Cody, well known and highly esteemed citizen of Misenheimer died 
Friday night at 9 o’clock, the immediate cause of his death being pneumonia.  
Deceased was 78 years of age and is survived by the widow and nine children.  
The children are Messrs. A.A. Cody, Lenoir; P.M. Cody, Millingport; Elbert 
Cody, Raleigh; W.A. Cody, Richfield, and Eunice Cody, Lexington; Mesdames 
A. H. Correll, Lenoir; L.C. Lowder, Albemarle, C.H. Misenheimer, Richfield 
and D.W. Frick, Granite Quarry.
Mr. Cody was a life long member of the Lutheran church and the interment 
will be at Bethel church at Misenheimer Springs, the funeral to take place at 2 
o’clock in the afternoon today.  The deceased was well known throughout the 
western section of Rowan and eastern Stanly County.  He was a good man and 
a faithful citizen.
