Lowder Albemarle - Jacob Sidney Lowder, 86, of 1632 West Park Ave., died Tuesday at Stanly County Hospital. He was a retired farmer. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday at the South Albemarle Baptist Church by the Rev. Clyde Whitehead and the Rev. Fred Hopkins. Interment will follow in Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will remain at Lefler Funeral Home here until taken to the church at the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. today. Mr. Lowder is survived by his wife, Mrs. Esther Thompson Lowder, two sons, Robert "Bob" Lowder of Kannapolis, Hoyle Lowder of Albemarle; nine daughters, Mrs. Odessa Bryant, Mrs. Victoria Gibson, Mrs. Vance Hatley, Mrs. William L. Caudle, Mrs. Vera Thompson, Mrs. Edna Ussery, Mrs. Charlie Ussery, Mrs. Gary Efrid all of Albmarle and Mrs. Ralph Eudy or New London; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Swaringen, Mrs. Ada Morton both of Albemarle; 37 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren.
