Lowder Obit Towel Citian Loses Father, R.D. Lowder Rowland D. Lowder, Stanly county business leader and father of Mrs. Frank Cauble of Kannapolis, died Monday at an Albemarle hospital. Death was attributed to a heart attack. The funeral will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3, o’clock at Salem Methodist church in Stanly county by the pastor, the Rev. F.J. Stough. Interment will follow in the nearby cemetery. Seventy-five year-old Mr. Lowder operated a general store at Millingport more than half a century. He was also interested in the Southern Flour Mills and the Lowder Hardware company at Albemarle. Once he was on the board of an Albemarle bank. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Agnes Dry Lowder; 12 children, Miss Ethel Lowder of the home, Mrs. Cauble of Kannapolis, Mrs. Frank Barbee of Concord, Mrs. A. W. Hurlocker, Mrs. Lentz Russell, Mrs., Charlie Furr, W. A. Lowder, Marvin Lowder, Cobern Lowder, Cecil H. Lowder, David P. Lowder and Ray D. Lowder of Albemarle; a brother, Harvey Lowder of Concord; a half-sister, Mrs. Bailey Morton of High Point; 22 grandchildren; four great- grandchildren.
