I, Nathan Rummage of the county of Stanly and the state of NC being of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament. Art 1: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Rebecca all my home tract of land -all my house and kitchen furniture, one clay bank mare-2 cows and calves- all my hogs and sheep to hold as her own property during her natural life or widowhood-also my wagon and gear. After the death of my wife Rebecca, I give and bequeath to James Allen Rumage my wagon, also one hoe and one log chain. I give and bequeath to my son Harris Rumage heirs two acres of land on the east side of the Windfield Road up and down the road-round the barn to have and to hold to themselves and their heirs. After the death of my wife, I give all my land that I have given her to Judy Ursley Rumage and Virginia Allen Rumage, heirs of Harris Rumage to have and to hold to themselves and their heirs forever to be equally divided between them. In case Judy Ursley Rumage or Virginia Allen Rumage should die without heirs of their body- the survivors are to have all the same. Given to the two Nathan Rumage heirs the land which I have already deeded to them. Also give to Judy Ursley and Virginina Rumage all the personal estate except the wagon that I have given to my wife for her life or widowhood to have to themselves after my wife's death.
