State-Wide, NC - Mr. Appleton - Resolution for Statue, 1823

Passed by the General Assembly of North Carolina
At their Session which commenced November 17, 1823

Resolved by the General Assembly of North-Carolina, That the sum 
of five hundred dollars be presented to Mr. Appleton, United
States Consul at Leghorn, as an acknowledgment from the State for
his services as agent of the state in procuring the Statue of
Washington; and that the Governor draw and transmit the same.
