State-Wide, NC - Tores, Beckham & M'Question - Act to Acquire Property, 1813 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An Act to secure to Elizabeth Tores, wife of Benjamin Tores, Pattey Beckham, wife of Zachariah Bechkham, and Susanna M'Question, wife of William M'Question Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That Elizabeth Tores, wife of Benjamin Tores of Rowan county; Pattey Beckham, wife of Zachariah Bechkham of the county of Warren; and Susanna M'Question, wife of William M'Question of Orange county, shall be entitled to possess in their sole right all such property as they may hereafter acquire by purchase, descent or otherwise, in as full and ample a manner as if they had never been married to their said husbands.
