COPIES OF AGENTS' RECEIPTS.

[From Executive Letter Book.]

Received at Halifax, April 3rd, 1785, of Ebenezer Jackson, Asst. Com'r of Army 
Accts., one certificate signed John Pierce, Esquire, dated the 1st February, 
No. 89,387, amounting to six hundred and forty-five 25-90 Dollars, on interest 
from the 1st January, 1783, it being in full the balance of pay due to the 
estate of Col. John Patten for his pay for the year 1782, which certificate I 
do hereby promise to deliver the Heirs, Administrators or Executors of the 
said Estate.

Sixty-four 25-90 Dollars.
