   His Excellency the Governor has appointed the following General and Field 
Officers to command the detachment of Militia raised in the State of North 
Carolina in pursuance of the requisition of the President of the United States.
                   DETACHMENT
   THOMAS BROWN, Major-General Commanding First Brigade - (Composed ot the 
Milita detached from 1st, 13th, 2nd, 12th , 3rd, 5th, 4th and 14th brigade of 
the Militia of the state. 
   THOMAS DAVIS, Brigadier General First Regiment (Detached from the 1st and 
13th Brigade)
   JOSIAH FLOWERS, Lieut. Col. Commandant, CALEB ETHERIDGE and JOHN McCottor,
Majors.
   Second Regiment -- (Detached from the 2nd, 12th, and 13th brigades) -- 
SIMON BRUTON, Lt. Col. Com'dt. NATHAN TISDALE and JOHN A. LILLINGTON, Majors.
   Third Regiment -- (Detached from the 5th Brigade) JEREMIAH SLADE, Lieut.

   Fourth Regiment -- (Detached from the 4th and 14th Brigades) ALFRED

    SECOND BRIGADE -- (Detached from 6th, 15th, 8th, 7th , 11th, 9th, 10th and
