SMITH'S) the Whig Convention has made the following appointments of delegates and alternate delegates to the Baltimore Convention. Delegates -- COL. D. D. FEREBEE of Camden; COL. R. H. SMITH of Halifax; JOS. B. CHERRY of Bertie; DAVID A. BARNES ESQ., of Northampton; and COL. E. W. JONES of Washington. Alternates -- WM. H. CLARK of Pasquotank; ROBERT FELTON, ESQ., of Chowan; W. L. DANIEL, ESQ. of Hertford; JESSE R. STUBBS, ESQ. of Martin; and DR. O. B. SAVAGE, of Gates. JAMES W. HINTON, ESQ., senior editor of the "Elizabeth City State" is the candidate for Elector. HON. R. B. GILLIAM, of Granville, is Delegate to the Baltimore Convention from the Wake District; CAPT. W. H. HARRISON of Wake, alternate. COL. L. C.
