Fayetteville Observer-sw-09/02/1861
DEATH OF SOLDIERS.---At Manassas, on the 17th ult., John Henry Cobb, and n the 
22d, George W. Cole and John W. Hart, of Guilford, members of Captain 
Scott's "Dixie Boys."
 
   At the house of Charles Bates, Esq. in Richmond, on the 28th, Capt. John H. 
Boyd, of the 11th North Carolina regiment.  His father took his remains home 
for interment.

   At Camp Bee, Va., David Jarrell, of Company E, 1st Regiment N. C. State 
troops.
