Avery, youngest son of Jas. Avery, Esq., of Burke county, a member of the Burke Rifles. At Halifax, on the 6th inst., Hamilton King, of the Gates Guards, 5th N. C. State troops. At Winder Battery, below Wilmington, Isaac M. Pierce of Columbus county, age 23, a member of the Cape Fear Ligh Artillery. At Charlottesville, Va., on the 1st Aug., W. H. Matthews, of Co. A, 5th N. C., State troops, and Roland Williams, of Wilson County, belonging to the same reriment. On the 4th, J. W. Wilder, Sergeant of Co. I, 6th regiment. And on the 8th, Birch Whitehead, 5th regiment. At Fort Johnson, on Thursday last, Mr. Tanner, a private in the Sampson Grays.
