 STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA   COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS   STOKES  
COUNTY   March Term, 1847            

HAUSER & WILSON 

         VS. 

The Heirs at Law of ELIZABETH BETTEBER, Deceased

Sci fa to subject real estate to payment of debts

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the  defendants, JOSEPH 
McPHERSON and his wife, POLLY,  are not  inhabitants of this State: It is 
therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for six successive 
weeks in the Patriot, printed in Greensboro, for  the said defendant, to be 
notified  to  appear at our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held 
for the County of Stokes in the Court House at Germanton,  on the 2nd Monday 
in June  next , then and there to plead, answer or demur. Otherwise judgment 
will be heard ex parte as to them and the property condemned to the 
satisfaction of the Plaintiff’s estate. 

Witness, JOHN HILL , Clerk of said Court, at office in Germanton, on the 2nd  
Monday in March  A.D., 1847.
