STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA   COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS   STOKES  
COUNTY                 Sept.   Term, 1845

         VS. 

The Heirs at Law of BENJAMIN FRY, deceased

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, EPHRAIM 
EPPERSON and his wife, NANCY, ALFRED SALMONS and his wife, ZIDIANA, are not 
inhabitants of this State: It is therefore ordered by the Court that 
publication be made for six successive weeks in the Patriot, printed in 
Greensboro, for  the said defendant, to be notified  to  appear at our next 
Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for the County of Stokes in the 
Court House at Germanton,  on the 2nd Monday in December , then and there to 
plead, answer or demur. Otherwise, judgment final  will be entered against 
them and their land condemned to satisfy the Plaintiff’s debt. 

Witness, JOHN HILL , Clerk of said Court, at office in Germanton, on the 2nd  
Monday in September  A.D., 1845.
