JONATHAN CREWS, JOHN RIDDICK and URSULA, his wife, LEVI COLEMAN and PHEBE, his 
wife, BENJAMIN CROWS, ______ BELL and MARY, his wife

Petition for Sale of Land 

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, DANIEL 
PIGEON, ISAAC PIGEON, JOHN HOLLINGSWORTH, GEELEE HOLLINGSWORTH, PHEBE 
HOLLINGSWORTH, SARAH HOLLINGSWORTH, CYRUS HOLLINGSWORTH, DANIEL CREWS, 
JONATHAN CREWS, JOHN RIDDICK and URSULA, his wife, LEVI COLEMAN and PHEBE, his 
wife, BENJAMIN CROWS, ______ BELL and MARY, his wife, are not inhabitants of 
this State: It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for 
six successive weeks in the Patriot, printed in Greensboro, for  the said 
defendants, to be notified  to  appear at our next Court `to be held for the 
County of Stokes in the Court House at Germanton,  on the 4th  Monday in March 
next, then and there to plead, answer or demur. Otherwise, the petition will 
be taken pro confesso and heard ex parte.

September, A. D., 1844.
