September Term, 1846

JOHN GOODE, TIMOTHY GOODE, SALLY GOODE, RICHARD  GOODE and JOSEPH GOODE

         VS. 

EDWARD  GOODE, NANCY GOODE, MARY GOODE and MARTIN WESTMORELAND

Petition to Sell Land

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that one of the defendants, 
EDWARD GOODE,  is not an  inhabitant of this State: It is therefore ordered by 
the Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the Patriot, 
printed in Greensboro, for  the said defendants, to be notified  to  appear at 
our next Court `to be held for the County of Stokes in the Court House at 
Germanton,  on the 2nd  Monday after the 4th  Monday in March  next, then and 
there to plead, answer or demur. Otherwise, the petition will be taken pro 
confesso and heard ex parte.
Witness, F. FRIES, Clerk and Master of said Court, at office, on the 2nd 
Monday after the 4th Monday in September A.D. 1846.
