JAMES BOWMAN and his wife, POLLY; and DAVIS ABBOT Petition for Division of Slaves It is ordered by the Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the Patriot, printed in Greensboro, for JAMES BOWMAN and his wife, POLLY; and DAVIS ABBOT, defendants, to be notified to appear at our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for the County of Stokes in the Court House at Germanton, on the 2nd Monday in March, 1841, then and there to plead, answer or demur.
