April Term, 1846

FOUNTAIN MARSHALL, REBECCA MARSHALL and MARTHA MARSHALL, who are full age, and 
ELIZABETH MARSHALL, FANNY MARSHALL, SARAH MARSHALL, WILLIAM MARSHALL, NANCY 
MARSHALL, JOHN H. MARSHALL, MATHEW S. MARSHALL, SARAH H. MARSHALL, ANN A.. 
MARSHALL, NANCY MARSHALL, STEPHEN F. MARSHALL, ADDISON H. F. MARSHALL, SARAH 
E. MARSHALL and JAMES A. MARSHALL, infants, under the age of 21 years, who 
exhibit  their Petition by their next friend, FOUNTAIN MARSHALL

         VS. 

HENRY MARSHALL, JOAB BRANSON and his wife, ELLENDER, PERENNA MARSHALL, RICHARD 
BOSWELL and MATHEW BOSWELL 

Petition for the Sale of Land

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, HENRY 
MARSHALL, JOAB BRANSON and his wife, ELLENDER, PERENNA MARSHALL, RICHARD 
BOSWELL and MATHEW BOSWELL ,  are not inhabitants of this State: It is 
therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for six successive 
weeks in the Patriot, printed in Greensboro, for  the said defendants, to be 
notified  to  appear at our next Court `to be held for the County of Stokes in 
the Court House at Germanton,  on the 3rd Monday after the 4th  Monday in 
September next, then and there to plead, answer or demur. Otherwise, the 
petition will be taken pro confesso and heard ex parte.

of April, 1846
