Written: September 5, 1803

Thomas Parker, an orphan of Jeptha Parker Dec'd born 15th day of Dec 1788 is 
bound unto John Close untill he arrives at the age of 21 years who agrees to 
learn said orphan the trade of a carpenter & Mill Wright to teach him to read 
write & cypher as far as the rule of three & a sat of clothes at his freedom 
exclusive of his common waring apparel.
