This Indenture made this fourth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty between Jacob Helsepeck sim of Stokes County North Carolina of the one part and Solomon Helsepeck of the county and state aforesaid of the other part witnepeth that the said Jacob Helsepeck for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him the said Jacob Helsepeck in hand paid by the said Solomon the receipte whereof is hereby acknowledged have given granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien and confirm in pe sim pleants the said Solomon Helsepeck his heirs and apsigns forever all that tract as parcel of land lying & being in the county aforesaid an both sides of Muddy Creek containing one hundred and thirty one acres & ahalf by estamation be the same more of lefs bounded as follows (to west) Beginning at a poste and paintves the southe East corner of Joseph Helsepeck land thence runing southe along the old line twenty three chains & seventy five links to the old southe easte corner of the old survey thru weste croping the creek on the old line fifty chains to to a poste the old corner thin Northe Eleven chains & a quarter to a poste a corner of a twenty five acre entry weste on the line of said Entry Eleven chains to the old corner black oak northe on the old line Eleven & ahalf chains to paintens Joseph Helsepeck corner thence easte on his line being a division line of said Jacob Helsepeck land sixty one chains croping the creek to the Beginning Including good meadows to have and to hold the afore said tract of land and premises with all the appartinances there unto belonging as in any wise appertaining unto him the said Solomon Helsepeck his heirs and afsigns forever and the said Jacob Helsepeck doth further coversant and agree with the said Solomon Helsepeck that he will warrant and forever def and the title of the aforesaid tract of land and premises with all the appartinances there unto belonging unto the said Solomon Helsepeck his heirs and apsigns against the lawful claim or claims of all persons whatever in witnefs where of the said Jacob Helsepeck hath persum to set his hand and seal the day and year firste above mentioned signed sealed and acknowledged in the presince his of C Banner Sumte Jacob X Helsepeck {seal} Joseph Hilsabeck mark Stokes County as June year 1840 the execution of the fore going deed was duly proven in open courte by the oath of Charles Hauser anclined to be registered R.Desolding CCC
