Frederick Helsebeck 250 acres State of North Carolina to all to whom these presents shall come grating know ye that we for and in consideration of the sume of fifty shillings for every hundred acres here by have given or granted and by these presents do give & grant unto hmd(?) Fridric Helsebeck granted paid into our treasury by Fridrick Helsebeck a tract of land containing two hundred and fifty acres lying and being in our county of Surry on Parkers Creek Beginning at a post oak on Jacob Lashes line thence Runing west croping the creek fifty chains to a red oak thence north croping the creek aforesaid fifty chains to a white oak thence East fifty chains croping two branches to a small post oak thence South fifty chains to the beginning including two hundred and fifty acres as by the plat here unto annext doth appear together with all woods waters mines minerals funditaments and appustinanus(?) to the said land belong or appeartaining to hold to the said Fridr ick Helsebeck his heirs and apigns forinis yielding and paying yearly as otherwise as our general apembly from time to time may direct provided always that the said Fridrick Helsebeck shall cause this grant to be Registerd in the Registers office of our said county of Surry within twelve months from the date here of otherewise the same shall be void and of no effect in testimony where of we have caused our great seal to be here unto affexid witnep Richard Caswell Esq our govener captain general and commander in chief at kingston the tenth day of december in the third year of our Independ ance and in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight Richard Caswell Recorded in the Seen office John Lowry{
