Jacob ROBINSON/Thomas ARNETT - deed transcription by Jan Lawson. Memorandum of an Agreement made & concluded by and between Jacob ROBINSON of Stokes County & State of N. Carolina on the one part and Thomas ARNETT of Caswell County State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth, that whereas the said ROBINSON and ARNETT do hold a certain tract of land between them, situated in Stokes County aforesaid. on the Waters of Belews Creek, and whereas the said parties have agreed to divide the said Land by a conditional line as follows (Viz.) Beginning at the Center of three post oaks on the North line of the said tract, sixty four pushes West of Lathan FOLGERS' corner post oak running thence South 35 degrees East twenty eight pushes to a large Sourwood, white oak & black gum pointing on the south bank of the low grounds of said creek, thence South 55 degrees West thirty three pushes to a small ash & maple in the low grounds and thence South 8 degrees one hundred and seven pushes to a black oak sapling on the south line of the said tract. Now, therefore it is agreed between said parties that the part of the said tract which lies to the Westward of said line be the property of said Robinson and the part of the tract which lies to the Eastward of said line be and is hereby agreed to be the property of said Arnett. The said parties firmly convenant by these presents, that the aforesaid line above mentioned and delineated in the Affixed plat shall be observed as the boundaries between their shares, claims, as part of said tract and that they & their heirs, executors & administrators shall be obliged to observe the same.
