This Indenture made the third day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred between Jacob ROBINSON of Stokes County State of N. Carolina on the one part (attorney for John ARNETT, Thomas ARNETT, Leven ARNETT & James ARNETT, sons & heirs of Andrew ARNETT late of said County, deceased ) and Littleberry ROBINSON of said County & State of the other part. Witnesseth, that whereas the aforesaid John ARNETT, Thomas ARNETT, Leven ARNETT & James ARNETT did actually sell unto the said Littleberry ROBINSON the tract of land hereafter described and Received ample satisfaction for the same, And whereas they the said John ARNETT, Thomas ARNETT, Leven ARNETT & James ARNETT have empowered the above named Jacob ROBINSON, by an instrument of writing dated the first day of Dec. 1796, to make and execute a deed of conveyance unto him the said Littleberry ROBINSON, in their name and stead, and in their behalf. Reference being had to the said power of attorney, matters of fact will more fully appear. Now therefore, he the said Jacob ROBINSON as Attorney for said John ARNETT, Thomas ARNETT, Leven ARNETT & James ARNETT doth hereby give, grant, alien and make over in fee simple unto him the said Littleberry ROBINSON a certain tract or parcel of land, situate on Blues Creek in the said County of Stokes, Beginning at a hickory near a branch thence North eight four pushes to a white oak East sixteen pushes to a post oak, South forty pushes to a post oak, East forty seven pushes to the Center of three post oak pointers in the North line of the said tract, being Thomas ARNETT's N. W. Corner, thence South thirty five deg. East seventy eight pushes to the center of a large Sourwood, white oak and black gum on the South bank of the low grounds of said creek, thence South fifty five deg. West thirty three pushes to a small oak & maple in the low grounds & thence South eight deg. East one hundred & twenty three pushes to a black oak sapling in the South line of the said tract, thence West fifty seven pushes to pointers, thence North twenty one deg. West one hundred & sixty pushes to the beginning, containing one hundred acres of land, being a tract granted by the state to Robert WALKER, Esq. late of Surry County, deceased, and by the said Walker conveyed to Andrew ROBINSON, Esquire & Christian NATIONS and by the said ROBINSON & NATIONS conveyed to Andrew ARNETT of Stokes County, deceased. To have and to hold to the said Littleberry ROBINSON his heirs & assigns forever. And the said Jacob ROBINSON, Attorney as aforesaid, doth hereby Convenant and Agree with the said Littleberry ROBINSON, that he the said Littleberry his heirs & assigns shall forever hereafter have, hold, convey & enjoy & possess the said Land and premises free and clear from all encumbrances whatever from his the said Jacob ROBINSON, Attorney as aforesaid, or his heirs, executors or administrators, Binding & obliging himself as Attorney, the said land & premises unto the said Littleberry ROBINSON against himself, and against the said John ARNETT, Thomas ARNETT, Leven ARNETT & James ARNETT, and all other persons whatever to Warrant & forever Defend. In writing whereof the said Jacob ROBINSON, Attorney as aforesaid, in the name & behalf of them the said John ARNETT, Thomas ARNETT, Leven ARNETT & James ARNETT, hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day & date above written.
