Littleberry ROBINSON/Jacob ROBINSON -- deed transcription by Jan Lawson. This Indenture made the 18th day of October AD 1806 Between Littleberry ROBINSON of the County of Stokes State of N. Carolina of the one part and Jacob ROBINSON of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth, that the said Littleberry ROBINSON for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred & sixty dollars of the United States to the said Littleberry ROBINSON in hand, paid, by the said Jacob ROBINSON, the receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged, hath Given, Granted, Bargained and Sold and by these presents doth Give, Grant, Bargain and Sell unto the said Jacob ROBINSON his heirs and assigns forever, the Tract of land hereinafter described, Viz., a tract of land situated or lying in said County on the Middle fork of Blues Creek, Beginning at a hickory near a branch thence North Eighty four pushes to a White Oak thence East Sixteen pushes to a post Oak thence South forty pushes to a post Oak, thence East forty seven pushes to the Center of three post Oak pointers in the North line of said tract, being Thomas ARNETT's North West corner, thence South thirty five deg. East seventy eight pushes to the Center of a large Sourwood, a large White Oak, and a black Gum, on the South bank of the Low Grounds, of the said Creek, thence South fifty five deg. West thirty three pushes to a small Ash & Maple in the Low Grounds, thence South eight deg. East one hundred and twenty three pushes to a black oak in the South line of said tract, thence West fifty seven pushes to pointers, and thence North twenty one deg. West one hundred and sixty pushes to the beginning. Containing one hundred acres, being part of a tract of Land Granted by the State to Robert WALKER, Esq., deceased, and by him conveyed to Andrew ROBINSON, Esq. & Christopher NATION, And by them conveyed to Andrew ARNETT, deceased, and by Jacob ROBINSON (as attorney for the heirs of Andrew ARNETT) conveyed to the said Littleberry ROBINSON, Registered in Stokes, Book C. folio (263). Also another tract of land lying on Blues Creek Waters in said County, Beginning at pointers in Center of three post oaks, Littleberry ROBINSON's corner in Latham FOLGERS' line, thence East in said line thirty one pushes to a stake in the Center of pointers, thence South twenty five deg. East seventy two pushes to four small dogwoods & a hickory, thence South nine deg. East one hundred thirty five pushes to a stake in BARNARD's line, thence West forty seven and a half pushes to a black oak, ROBINSON's corner, thence North eight deg. West one hundred and twenty pushes to a small Ash, then North fifty five deg. East, thirty three pushes to a small Sourwood and thence to the beginning. Containing forty six acres & 140 pushes being a tract of Land conveyed to Littleberry ROBINSON by Archibald CAMPBELL, as Attorney for Andrew ARNETT, JR., Registered in Stokes, Book D. folio (88), To have and to hold unto the said Jacob ROBINSON his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Littleberry ROBINSON for himself, his heirs, et al, covenants with the said Jacob ROBINSON, that the said Jacob ROBINSON his heirs and assigns shall and may forever hereafter peaceably and quietly hold possess and enjoy the said Land & premises, rights, titles & improvements and appurtenances, free and clear from hindrance, Molestation or encumbrance from any person whatever. And that the said Littleberry ROBINSON his heirs, et al, the said tract of land & premises unto the said Jacob ROBINSON his heirs and assigns will Warrant and forever Defend, against the Lawful claims or demands of all persons whatsoever.
