Charles ROBINSON/Israel ROBINSON -- deed transcription by Jan

This Indenture made the 19th day of September AD 1811 Between 
Charles ROBINSON of the County of Stokes State of N. Carolina of the one 
part and Israel ROBINSON of the same place of the other part.  Witnesseth, 
that he the said Charles ROBINSON for and in consideration of the sum of 
one hundred and twenty five pounds to him in hand paid, by the said Israel 
ROBINSON, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge, hath Given, Granted, 
Sold and made over in fee simple unto him the said Israel ROBINSON his 
heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Stokes 
County on the Waters of Blues Creek, Beginning at a white oak thence East 
thirty seven chains to a white oak thence South twenty one chains to a 
hickory on a branch thence South Seventy degrees West Sixteen chains to a 
post oak, thence West twenty two chains to pointers and thence North to the 
beginning.  Containing one hundred acres more or less, being part of a 500 
acre tract Granted by the State to Robert WALKER, Esq., and by his 
Executors conveyed to James WATKINS, Registered in Stokes, Book No. 5 folio 
(217) and by James WATKINS conveyed to John GLASS , also Registered in 
Stokes, Book No. 5 folio (234).  To have and to hold the said Israel 
ROBINSON his heirs and assigns forever, with all and singular the rights, 
titles  privileges and improvements, and that the said Charles ROBINSON for 
himself his heirs, et al, doth covenant and agree to and with said Israel 
ROBINSON that he, his heirs and assigns shall and may forever hereafter 
peaceably and quietly hold, possess and enjoy, the aforesaid Granted Land & 
premises free and clear from all encumbrances  from any person whatsoever 
and that the said Charles ROBINSON his heirs, et al, doth oblige 
themselves, the aforesaid land and premises, with every part thereof unto 
him the said Israel ROBINSON his heirs and assigns, to Warrant and forever 
defend against the Lawful claim or demand of all persons whatsoever.  In 
Testimony whereof the said Charles ROBINSON hath hereunto set his hand and 
affixed his seal the day and year above written.  Signed:  Charles ROBINSON 
(seal).  Signed and delivered in presence of Jacob ROBINSON and A. 
BARNARD.....Stokes County September 1812.  The execution of the above deed 
was duly proven in open court by the oath of Jacob ROBINSON and ordered to 
be Registered.  Rob. WILLIAMS, CC. (Stokes Co., NC. Deed Book 5, pg. 442).
