Know ye that We for and in consideration of the sum of Ten pounds for every hundred acres hereby Granted said into our Treasury by Jacob ROBINSON Have Given and Granted and by these presents do Give and Grant unto the said Jacob ROBINSON a tract of land Containing Four hundred acres, lying & being in the County of Stokes, on the Waters of Blewers & Muddy Creek Beginning at pointers, Sowel FRASER's line & corner & runs North on his line two hundred poles to his other corner, a stake, East on FRASER's line twenty five poles to a post oak, North eighteen poles to a black oak in NICHOLSON's line, West twenty three and a half poles to NICHOLSON's corner, a stump, North 30 Deg. West on NICHOLSON's line two hundred and nineteen poles to his Corner, a black oak, West twenty Deg. South one hundred and forty four poles to a black oak, North 20 Deg. West nineteen poles to a black oak on THOMASON's corner, West on his line sixty four poles to a post oak, South one hundred and twenty four poles to a black jack, East seventy two poles to a White Oak Sapling, East 10 Deg. North seventy poles to a stake, South one hundred twenty four poles to a stake, East fifty eight poles to a post oak, East thirty six poles, HAYLEY's former corner, South 23 Deg. East on HAYLEY's line one hundred and seventy poles to a post Oak, East thirty six poles to the first station Entered the 14th day of July 1787 as by the plat hereunto affixed doth appear. Together with all Wood & Waters , Mines, Minerals, Hereditaments and appurtenances to the said land Belonging or appertaining: To hold to the said Jacob ROBINSON his heirs and assigns forever, yielding and paying to us such sums of money yearly or otherwise as our General Assembly from time to time may Direct, provided always that the said Grantee shall cause this Grant to be Registered in the Register's Office of our said County of Stokes within twelve months from the sale hereof, otherwise the same shall be void and of no effect. In Testimony whereof we have Granted these our Letters to be made patent, and our Great Seal to be hereunto affixed. Witnesseth Samuel ASHE, Esq., our Governor Captain General and Commander in Chief at Raleigh the 26th day of October in the 23rd year of our Independence and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight.
