Jacob ROBINSON to Thomas HUSSEY - Bill of Sale transcription by Jan Lawson Know all men by these presents that I Jacob ROBINSON of Stokes County N. Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred and Eighty four dollars and thirty four cents to me in hand paid by Thomas HUSSEY of Guilford County in said State, have bargained and Sold unto the said Thomas HUSSEY a certain male Mulatto slave named Jack aged about forty one years and I the said Jacob ROBINSON do hereby obligate myself, my heirs Executors & Administrators forever hereafter to Warrant and defend the property of the said Slave, to him the said Thomas HUSSEY his heirs & assigns, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons Whatsoever. In Testimony whereof I the said Jacob ROBINSON have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of March 1814. Signed: Jacob ROBINSON (seal). Witnesses present: A.
