This Indenture made the Twentieth day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and Eighteen. Between Jacob ROBINSON and Michael FAIRE both of Stokes County and state of N. Carolina, Executors of the last will and Testament of Israel ROBINSON late of Stokes County deceased of the one part and Michael FAIRE, Junr. of the State and County aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth, that he the said Israel ROBINSON by his said Last Will and Testament did will and devise that one hundred acres of his Land or Real Estate should be sold by his executors, where said Executors should deem it most advisable and expedient to lay it off, said Last will and Testament was only proved in County Court of Stokes at September Term 1818, reference being had thereto, facts will more plainly appear. Wherefore they the said Jacob ROBINSON and Michael FAIRE, Executors as aforesaid agreeable to said Last will and Testament and in conformity and compliance with the same after duly administering did on the ninth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eighteen at or near the premises upon the tract of Land hereafter described being a part of the real estate of said Israel ROBINSON remanded to sale at proscribed venue when & where Michael FARE, Junr. became the purchaser he being the highest bidder at two hundred dollar price, and he the said Michael FARE, Junr. did then & there fully comply with the terms and considerations of said sale wherefore they the said Jacob ROBINSON and Michael FAIRE, Executors aforesaid, for and in consideration of the aforesaid sum of two hundred Dollars to them in hand paid by the said Michael FAIR, Junr. have given granted bargained sold and made over and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell and make over in fee simple unto him the said Michael FAIR, Junr. his heirs and assigns forever the following tract or parcel of land, Viz., beginning at a pointer in Latham FOLGER's line, Asa BARNARD's corner, thence South twenty four degrees East seventy one poles to a ____ of dogwoods, thence South nine degrees East one hundred forty poles to pointer Wm. VOSS' corner, thence West sixty seven poles to hickory pointer thence North fifty degrees West forty one poles to a small hickory, thence North one hundred seventy six poles to pointer in said FOLGER's line and thence East with said line to the beginning. Containing one hundred acres be the same more or less and being part of a tract of land containing 212 acres which was conveyed to Jacob ROBINSON by the heirs of Andrew ARNETT, deceased, which conveyance is duly recorded in the Registers office of Stokes County in Book D folio 88, and was conveyed by the said Jacob ROBINSON to the said Israel ROBINSON, which conveyance is also recorded in said office in Book No. 5 folio 517. To have and to hold unto him the said Michael FAIR, Junr. to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Michael FAIR his heirs and assigns forever and they the said Jacob ROBINSON & Michael FAIR, executors as aforesaid doth covenant and agree to and with the said Michael FAIR, Junr. his heirs & assigns that he the said Michael FAIR, Junr. his heirs & assigns shall and may forever hereafter peaceably and quietly have hold occupy possess and enjoy the above defined land and premises with all and singular the Rights Titles privileges, appurtenances and improvements free and clear from the petty hindrance molestation or encumbrance of any person or persons whatever, and further they the said Jacob ROBINSON and Michael FAIR Executors as aforesaid, and their successors in office, the aforesaid land and premises with every part and article thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining unto him the said Michael FAIR his heirs and assigns shall and will Warrant and forever Defend against the lawful claims and demands of all persons whatsoever. In Testimony whereof they the said Jacob ROBINSON and Michael FAIR Executors as aforesaid hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals date above written. Note 1.) Israel Robinson was the son of Jacob Robinson. Note 2.) Jacob Robinson and Michael Fair/Fare, Sr. were, along with Jane "Jenny" Robinson, Executors of the Estate of Israel Robinson. Sometimes the Fair last name was spelled Faire and Fare in deeds. Note 3.) Michael Fair/Fare, Sr. was the father of Jane "Jenny" (Fair/Fare) Robinson. Jane's mother was Elizabeth McKillip, daughter of Hugh McKillip and Agnes (Hannah) McKillip. Note 4.) Michael Fair/Fare, Jr. was the son of Michael Fair/Fare, Sr. and Elizabeth McKillip. He was also Jane "Jenny" Robinson's brother and brother-in-law to Israel Robinson, deceased. Jan Lawson.
