PROPOSAL FOR BUILDING A BRICK JAIL
    The County Court of Stokes having appointed the undersigned Commissioners 
to contract for the building of a jail, at the Court House in Germanton, will 
receive proposal for the creation of the said building until the 15th of March 
next.
   The building to be Thirty by Forty Feet, Two Stories high, built with 
brick, and vovered with Tin, with three rooms for the Jailor and one for the 
Debtors below and four cells above, for criminals. The plan of the building, 
together with the specifications and style of building can be seen by applying 
to either of the subscribers at Germanton.
