Friday, April 20, 1838, Patriot, Greensboro, N. C.
DIED, in the vicinity of Germanton, Stokes County, on the 3rd inst., EPHRAIM 
BANNER, SR., in the 85th year of his age. The deceased was one of three 
brothers, all faithful soldiers in the Revolutionary War, two of whom still 
survive. He possessed a brave and generous heart, a vigorous mind and a robust 
constitution.
