I, P. 8 FLORENCE ROSELLA CULLER GILES Mrs. Florence Culler Giles, 84, wife of the late Jesse A. Giles and daughter of Emanuel Winborne and Mrs. Louise Boyles Culler, of Stokes County, N.C., died in Raiford Memorial Hospital Friday at 8:40 p.m. after a brief illness. Mrs. Giles was educated in North Carolina, graduating from Pinnacle Academy and Oxford College. Besides her daughter, Mrs. S.T. Holland, of Franklin, she is survived by two sons, Maj. R.T. Giles of Tripoli, Libya, and Dr. J.A. Giles, of Wilmington, Del.; two daughters, Mrs. W.R. Sowers, of Cambridge, Md., and Mrs. Fred Boyer, of Newton, Kan.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at 11 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stanley T. Holland, on Clay Street, by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins and the Rev. Donald Dunlap, pastor and assistant pastor, respectively , of the Franklin Baptist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were William H. Cutchin, W.T. Pope, Jr., Earl McGowan, W.J.M. Holland, 3rd, John M. Camp, Jr., Ned Jones, Herbert Cobb, Jr., and Gardner T. Edwards.
