DEATH OF HON. JOHN HILL
We announce with profound regret, the death of the HON. JOHN HILL, a member of 
the Convention from Stokes County. MR. HILL was in his usual health of Friday, 
and in his seat in the Convention but on Friday night, while in his room 
conversing with some friends, he was suddenly atricken with apoplexy, or 
disease of the heart, and died in a few minutes.
MR. HILL had served the people of the Stokes district in Congress, and had 
frequently represented his county in the Legislature. He was for several 
sessions Principal Clerk of the Senate. He was elected to the Convention in 
February without opposition, and also to the present Convention, without 
opposition. He was a useful citizen, a kind-hearted neighbor, and an honest 
man.
