Raleigh Christian Advocate Dec 15th, 1880
Died March 8th, 1880, after a lingering sickness, Thomas H. Savage, aged 77 
years and 23 days. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church South. He 
loved and worked for the church of Christ. His death was calm and triumphant, 
he has left an aged wife, his surviving children and grandchildren to feel his 
absence, but they have the assurance that their loss is his eternal gain.
