Tues, Jan. 14, 1840, Patriot (Greensboro, N.C.)
DIED, in Benton County, Mo., on the 11th of November last, MRS. REBECCA 
VANHOY, wife of COL. JOHN M. VANHOY, in the 36th year of her age. She has left 
a husband and four small children. She was the daughter of the late MAJOR JOHN 
CLOSE and AGNES CLOSE of Stokes County N. C. and a faithful member of the 
Methodist Episcopal Church.
