In the first place at my decease I recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent manner. And as touching such worldly property as it may and has pleased God to bless me with. It is my will that it be disposed and as following (to wit). I having been a revolutionary soldier am now receiving a pension from the United States for my services in said war and for the natural love and affection which I have for my beloved daughter Elizabeth she having been attentive to me in my declining age and infirmity and also during my present prolonged illness. I give and bequeath to my said daughter such sum of money as may be due and owing to me from the United States at my decease and also I give and bequeath to my said daughter Elizabeth all the residue of my estate both real and personal that I may die possessed of except the bequests hereinafter made. I being possessed of but little worldly property and the rest of my children all having left me in remembrance of them I give and bequeath to them as follows (to wit) to William Barr, to Nancy Gregory to John Barr to Polly Owens to Isaac Barr to Sally Coomer and to Joshua Barr twenty five cents each. And I do hereby make, ordain and appoint my beloved daughter Elizabeth Barr Executrix of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I do hereto set my hand and seal the day and year above written. Signed sealed and acknowledged in the Presence of us as his last will and testament. Isaac X Barr mark C.L.
