Last Will and Testament of Fredrick Hilsabeck In the name of God Amen I Fredrick Hilsebeck of Stokes County & State of North Carolina yeoman being very sick & weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God calling unto mind the mortality of my body do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner following I recommend my soul unto the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recomment to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my exceutors and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose of the same In the following manner and form First I give and bequeath unto Catharina my dearly beloved wife all my movable estate as long as she lives and then the said to be equally divided mougst my children and my land is to be sold and the money equally divided to my children Jacob Henry, Mary Magdalena, Catharina, Elizabeth & Susanna and I do constitute make and ordain Daniel Shouse and Henry Helsapeck executors of this my last will and testament and I do hearby utterly disalow and revoke all former testaments wills legacies and executors ratifying conforming this and no other to be my last will & testament in witness whereof I have hearunto let my hand and seal this ninth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine Signed Sealed and his Delivered in presents Fredrick Helsabeck {Seal} of us ____________ mark his Marty X Childress mark Henry Helsapeck David Shouse Iurents his Jacob X Helsabeck Mark Catharina Hilsabeck Stokes County September 1799 The execution of the last will and testament of Fredrick Helsabeck of which the foregoing is a true copy was proven in open court by the oaths of Henry Helsebeck, Daniel Shouse and Jacob Helsebeck and ordered to be recorded which is accordingly done by Dot Armstrong for Bob Williams cc
