I, Isaac Edwin Helsabeck of County of Stokes & State of North Carolina, being of sound mind and good memory do make my last will and Testament. First of all I will that funeral expenses be paid out of my estate. Second, I will and bequeath to my beloved wife, Columbia Louisa Helsabeck shall after my debts are paid all my personal property during her natural life. And that such personal property as she may not need be sold and turned into cash. Third, I will that after the death of my said wife that all personal property and money left by her be equally divided between Charlatta S. Vest and her daughter Eugenia F. Tuttle and Ularetea Ann Shore and her son John Henry Shore, the personal having been sold and turned into money. Fourth, I will that after my said wife's death my land be sold and its proceeds be given by my executor to the General or what is called the Parent Missionary Board of the Methodist Episcopal Church South by said Board to be applied to its missions of the church. Fifth, I hereby appoint Solomon S. Flynt as executor of this my last will and testament and do revoke all former wills by me made. Vest State of North Carolina Superior Court Stokes County In the matter of the Probate of the last will and testament of Isaac Edwin Helsabeck deceased A paper writing purparting to be the last will and testament of Isaac Edwin Helsabeck died and produced in open court by Solomon S. Flynt the executor therein named who makes application to have the same admitted to probate as the last will and testament of the said Isaac Edwin Helsabeck, and being first duly sworn says that he is the executor named in said will and such as is entitled to Letters Testamentary upon the Estate of the said Isaac Edwin Helsabeck died, that the value of the estate of the said Isaac Edwin Helsabeck, as near as can be as certained at the date of this application is about $3000.00 of which $2000.00 is real property and $1000.00 is personal property. That the heirs at law of the said Isaac Edwin Helsabeck are S. H. Helsabeck and A. J. Helsabeck resident of Stokes County, N.C., the children of Charity Shore, died wife of John L. Shore, the children of E. A. Spainhauer, died wife of T. Spainhauer, and C. S. Vest resident of Forsyth County, N. C., except the children of E. A. Spainhauer who have different residences. That the deaisers of the said I. E. Helsabeck are C. L. Helsabeck his widow C. S. Vest, E. F. Tuttle, W. A. Shore and John Henry Shore, and the Methodist Episcapal Church South. Sworn to and subscribed before me this the 26th S. S. Flynt day of May 1892 A. O. Petree cse. State of North Carolina S. S. In the Superior Court Stokes County A paper writing purparting to be the last will and testament of Isaac Edwin Helsabeck deceased is exhibited before me the undersigned clerk of the Superior Court for said County by Solomon S. Flynt the executor therein mentioned and the due execution thereof by the said Isaac Edwin Helsabeck is named by the oath and examination of S. H. Helsabeck and S. A. Vest the subscribing witnesses thereto who being duly sworn, doth depase and say and each for himself dipaseth and saith that be is a subscribing witness to the paper writing now shown him, purparting to be the last will and testament of Isaac Edwin Helsabeck, that the said Isaac Edwin Helsabeck in the presence of this deponent subscribed his name at the end of said paper writing now shown as aforesaid, and which bears date of the 29th day of June 1891 and the deponent further saith that the said Isaac Edwin Helsabeck the testator aforesaid, did, at the time of subscribing his name as aforesaid declare the said paper writing so subscribed by him and exhibited, to be his last will and testament, and this deponent did thereupon subscribed his name at the end of said will as an attesting witness thereto, and at the request and in the presence of the said testator, and this deponent further saith, that at the said time when the said testator subscribed his name to the said last will as aforesaid, and at the time of deponents subscribing his name as an attesting witness thereto, as aforesaid, the said Isaac Edwin Helsabeck was of sound mind and memory of full age to execute a will, and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information as belief of this deponent, and further these deponents say not severaely sworn and subscribed this the S. H. Helsabeck {Seal} 26th day of May 1892, before me S. A. Vest {Seal} A. O. Petree, Clerk Superior Court State of North Carolina In the Superior Court Stokes County Before A. O. Petree, Clerk In Re Estate of Isaac Edwin Helsabeck deceased Order for probate of will A paper writing purparting to be the last will and testament of Isaac Edwin Helsabeck died, is exhibited in open court for probate by S. S. Flynt executor therein named, and the due execution thereof by the said Isaac Edwin Helsabeck died, is duly proven by the oath and examination of S. H. Helsabeck and S. A. Vest subscribing witnesses thereto and it is further shown to be satisfaction of the court by said witnesses that the said Isaac Edwin Helsabeck was at the time of making said will of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a will and under no restraint to the knowledge information as belief : It is therefore considered adjudged and decreed that said proof is sufficient and according to law and that said paper writing is and contains the last will and testament of Isaac Edwin Helsabeck, died, and on meabim it is ordered that said will be admitted to probate and recorded in the Book of Wills of Stokes County and as such filed as provided by law in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of said County. It is further ordered that said Solomon S. Flynt be allowed to walibe as executor as provided by law and eutes upon the discharge of the duties imposed by said trust.
