SURRY   COUNTY           August  Term, 1846

JOSEPH A. BITTING

Vs.

WILLIAM C. COOK

Original Attachment Levied on Land and Personal Property 

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the  defendant, WILLIAM C. 
COOK, 
is not an inhabitant of this state: it is therefore ordered by the Court that 
publication be made for six successive weeks in the Patriot, a newspaper 
printed in Greensboro, that unless the said Defendants appear at our next 
Court to be held for the County of Surry  in the Court House at Rockford  on 
the 2nd Monday in November next ,   and  plead, answer, or demur to this 
petition, judgment will be granted against him and the property levied on 
condemned to satisfy the Plaintiff’s debt.
